Garrison Brothers Distillery, Texas’ first legal bourbon whiskey distillery and the maker of multi-award-winning Garrison Brothers Texas Straight Bourbon Whiskey, recently announced the limited statewide introduction of its first new bourbon whiskey, Cowboy Bourbon™.
“This is the first new bourbon we have introduced since we released Garrison Brothers Texas Straight Bourbon Whiskey on Texas Independence Day in 2010,” says owner Dan Garrison. “It is not for the faint of heart and certainly not for casual drinking. It is a limited release — just 600 bottles — of the finest bourbon we’ve ever made.”
In a 375-ml bottle, Cowboy Bourbon™ is uncut and unfiltered, straight from the barrel, weighing in at 136 proof or 68% alcohol by volume. “If you want one, I should warn you that it may set you back a little,” says Garrison. “We’re anticipating retailers will price these rare bottles at $159.99 to $169.99. The little distillery in Hye won’t introduce its Cowboy Bourbon™ again until 2015.
