The holidays are almost here, and distilleries across the country are getting in on the spirit of the season! From special promotions to ugly sweater parties to a Festivus celebration, there’s no end to the creativity that’s out there. Wigle St. Nick and Ugly Sweater Party

Wigle Whiskey in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania is hosting an Ugly Sweater Party later today, December 18. The event will feature a unique Pittsburgh take on eggnog, a popcorn bar, and an ugly sweater contest, with spirits and swag as the prizes. Wigle is also releasing its once-every-two-years collaboration with Penn Brewery: St. Nick, which is distilled from the brewery’s traditional German-style St. Nikolaus Bock. Wigle, clearly embracing the holiday spirit, also held its annual Christmas Tree spectacular this past weekend.


12 Days of Whiskey

Tennessee’s Chattanooga Whiskey is celebrating the holidays with a countdown to Christmas called the 12 Days of Whiskey. As part of the festivities, the distillery is giving away free swag daily to its Instagram followers.


Last Call @ Westland Distillery

Seattle-based Westland Distillery is hosting a holiday party, Last Call @ Westland Distillery, on Saturday, December 21. The event, which is open to all ages, is billed as a toast to the holidays and a chance to finish your holiday shopping. Along with the event, the distillery is offering several special deals and discounts, as well as Westland holiday ornaments.


Seven Troughs Ugly Sweater Party

Seven Troughs Distilling in Sparks, Nevada (just east of Reno) is holding an Ugly Sweater Painting Party on Saturday, December 21. For $40 a person, guests receive all their painting supplies, painting instruction, and a cocktail. Whoever comes wearing the ugliest holiday sweater will win a bottle of spirits. Sign up here. Great Lakes Distillery in Milwaukee, Wisconsin is holding its annual celebration of the Festivus holiday this year on Monday, December 23. As per Festivus tradition, the event will feature an airing of grievances and a Festivus pole, as well as Seinfeld¬†trivia, a gag gift exchange, and the special “Quit Crying and Fight Your Father” Punch.


Holiday Gifting From Castle & Key

Castle & Key in Frankfort, Kentucky has launched a series of daily holiday promotions and discounts. For each promotion customers participate in, they’ll earn a chance to win a $50 Castle & Key gift card plus two tour tickets.


Firestone & Robertson Holiday Sale


Fort Worth, Texas’s Firestone & Robertson is celebrating the season with a holiday sale, including a number of distinctive holiday items like pins, ornaments, holiday socks, and self-described ugly sweaters. They are also offering a discount code, JollyHoliday, for 30% off.


New Years Eve at Jeptha & Creed

In addition to launching a new winter cocktail menu in time for the holidays, Shelbyville, Kentucky’s Jeptha Creed Distillery will hold a New Year’s Eve party on December 31. The Roarin’ 20s-themed party (with costumes encouraged) will feature live music, a balloon drop, cocktails, and Champagne.


New Years Eve at Journeyman

Michigan’s Journeyman Distillery is holding a New Years Eve party as well, this one dance-themed. Tickets include music, dancing, and a midnight toast, as well as a photo booth.
