North American Sustainable Distillery of the Year
Distilleries, like many industrial operations, have a significant environmental footprint. With this award ADI wants to recognizing companies that are leading examples of sustainable distillery practices in North America. As the spirits industry continues to grow sustainability is an essential part of its future. ADI will look for examples of how distilleries reduced resource consumption, waste, and pollution as well as efforts to invest in their local communities, ecology, water quality, and sustainable sourcing of ingredients.

All spirits entered into ADI’s International Spirits Competition are simultaneously considered for our Excellence in Packaging Awards. A select group of packaging judges award bronze, silver and gold medals as well as the following trophy and category awards for outstanding spirits packaging.

Best Eco-Packaging Award
The trophy for Best Eco-Packaging Award will go to those a spirit whose packaging that is a leading example of from, function, and environmental sustainability through the use of recycled, or light weight materials, non-toxic dyes, packaging designed to be reused, or any other aspects hat to reduce the consumption of water, energy, raw materials or other environmental impacts of the spirits packaging.
