Women’s Summit at the ADI Conference

In 2016, ADI staff was convinced that there was a need for a new space within the industry and decide to offer a lunch dedicated to women in the industry. 130 enthusiastic RSVP proved the interest in having a dedicated annual networking session.

Usually held at the end of the conference, we have been listening to feedback asking for an early summit allowing for future one-one discussions and meetings during the conference.

In its 8th year, this year under the dynamic guidance of Andie Ferman as our Master of Ceremony, this Women Summit will start with a panel followed by networking.

Proof Points: How Women Are Paving a New Road in Distilling: Its no secret that women have been making and selling spirits for centuries. From the early days of at-home medicinal concoctions, to today, where women are leading some of the largest distilleries around the world, female distillers have and always will play an important role in the industry. While it hasn’t always been an easy path for females in the craft spirits industry, it is one marked with greatness, imagination and strong leadership by women who are creating some of the highest-rated spirits on the market. Lets hear their stories and learn how we all can continue to build a culture that promotes and advances women in distilling.

Kristin Steele, co-founder of Crafted ERP and Andie Ferman will be joined by distinguished women in distilling as they discuss some of the challenges of breaking into the industry, trials and triumphs of creating new products, how to find female mentors and build a support network, and what the future holds for female and other underrepresented groups in distilling.

There will be plenty of time allotted to informal networking before the Welcome Tasting and make contacts to be nurtured throughout the event and beyond.
