With strong consumer interest in Malt Whisky, as well as a premium price-point, American Distillers are continuing to define and develop American Single Malt as a relevant and premium spirit. In this presentation, we will examine the production of Whisky malts, evaluate various malts for American Single Malt production, discuss the role of Specialty, Roasted and Peated Malts, and discuss strategies for managing Ethyl Carbamate (GC) content. Finally, we will sample a few specific malts and spirits made from these malts.
