In early December 2023, Ronnell Richards had the pleasure of representing ADI on a media tour of rum distilleries in Louisiana hosted by the Louisiana Distillers Guild. The group visited distilleries, bars, and restaurants across the New Orleans area to taste rums from 14 Louisiana producers, including Atelier Vie, Bayou Rum, Bayou Terrebonne, Borasso, Happy Raptor, Lula, New Orleans Distillers, Noel Family Distillery, Oxbow, Porch Jam, Roulaison, Seven Three, Sugarfield, Wildcat Brothers, and 1827 Spirits. Louisiana is quickly emerging as a leading rum producing region in the United States, and it was exciting to taste the incredible range of products being made in the Pelican State, often from locally grown sugarcane.
