With over 20 years experience as a competition judge, educator and writer, Marie is a well known personality in the world of drinks and food.
In the last ten years, interest in Asian Spirits and drinks in the Western world has taken off and Marie’s activities have been a forerunner of this trend.
She is the International Wine & Spirits Competition (IWSC) judging committee member for Asian Spirits. Marie is also the panel chair for the Asian Spirits section in the International Spirits Challenge (ISC) and is a host at the ISC’s annual awards dinner. Marie is also Head of Asian Spirits at International Drinks Specialist (IDS). Currently she is the Brand Ambassador to Cheng International, the premium Chinese drinks distributor based in London.
Marie was chosen by the Wine & Spirits Education Trust (WSET) to present Baijiu at the WSET hub during London’s 2022 IMBIBE show, speaking to a full house of 110 guests. She also runs masterclasses and study groups on Sake, Shochu and Baijiu.
