Matt Pietrek is a rum educator, author, consultant, and historian who works with many of the rum world’s best-known companies. He is the author of the 850-page Modern Caribbean Rum (2022) and has written for many PUNCH, Bourbon Plus, and Bevvy and contributed entries to the Oxford Companion to Spirits & Cocktails. He serves as the Community Envoy for the West Indies Rum and Spirits Producers’ Association (WIRSPA.)
